Academica (library)
Academica is a Polish online interlibrary system providing access to digital documents of the National Library of Poland that includes both copyrighted material for registered users in selected libraries within Poland as well as free access to public domain material. Its scope is similar to that of Polona, the digital library of the National Library of Poland, and allows access to digitized periodicals, books, scores, and other library material within broad range of sciences and humanities. The project was developed in collaboration with the National Library of Poland, Foundation for Polish Science and Research and Academic Computer Network. The system is available since 2014. As of September 2017 ''Academica'' catalog lists 2,020,299 documents. The interface allows for search within the digitized version of the documents as well as its metadata including language, keywords, published date, and subject categories. National Library Of Poland
The National Library ( pl, Biblioteka Narodowa) is the central Polish library, subject directly to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. The library collects books, journals, electronic and audiovisual publications published in the territory of Poland, as well as Polonica published abroad. It is the most important humanities research library, the main archive of Polish writing and the state centre of bibliographic information about books. It also plays a significant role as a research facility and is an important methodological center for other Polish libraries. The National Library was one of the first libraries in Europe that fulfilled the tasks of a modern national library in developing collections covering the entire body of Polish literature and making available to the public. Polona
Polona is a Polish digital library, which provides digitized books, magazines, graphics, maps, music, fliers and manuscripts from collections of the National Library of Poland and co-operating institutions. It began its operation in 2006. Collections As of October 12, 2017 there were 2016037 objects,Counter available at www.polona.pl (access:12.10.2017) of which 863400 were on public domain. Every day, the Polona adds up to 2,000 digitized objects. The Foundation For Polish Science ( pl, Fundacja na rzecz Nauki Polskiej, FNP) is an independent, non-profit making organisation which aim at improving the opportunities for doing research in Poland. Established in 1990, registered in 1991, the Foundation's mission is to provide assistance and support to the scientific community in Poland.
