Acacia Cyclocarpa
''Acacia cyclocarpa'', commonly known as ring-pod minni-ritchie, is a shrub belonging to the genus ''Acacia'' and the subgenus ''Juliflorae''. It is native to a small area of the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Description The shrub has a sprawling, decumbent to semi-erect habit and typically grows to a height of and has minni ritchi style bark that is found at the base of mature stems. The glabrous branchlets have persistent triangular shaped stipules that are around in length. Like most species of ''Acacia'' it has phyllodes rather than true leaves. The evergreen, thin-textured and flat phyllodes have a narrowly linear to linear-elliptic shape that is narrowed at the base. Bruce Roger Maslin (born 3 May 1946) is an Australian botanist, known for his work on ''Acacia'' taxonomy. Born in Bridgetown, Western Australia, he obtained an honours degree in botany from the University of Western Australia in 1967, then took up an appointment as a botanist with the Western Australian Herbarium.
