Abubakar Musa
Alhaji Abubakar Musa is a Nigerian politician who was elected on the National Republican Convention (NRC) platform as Governor of Kebbi State, Nigeria, holding office between January 1992 and November 1993 during the Nigerian Third Republic. Before entering politics, Musa was Director of Customs. Musa was accused of tampering with ballot boxes in the December 1991 elections, but when they took place he was in fact abroad undergoing medical treatment. In July 1993 he enacted the edict to form the Kebbi State College of Education, now the Adamu Augie College of Education. In June 2002 he was national treasurer of the newly formed National Democratic Party (NDP). He was a candidate to be the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for governor in the 2003 elections. Patrick Aziza
Patrick Aziza (23 December 1947 – 16 August 2014) was the first military Governor of Kebbi State, Nigeria after it was split off from Sokoto State on 27 August 1991 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. Birth and early career Aziza was born in Okpe local Government Area in Delta State on 23 December 1947. He was raised in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. He went to Ibadan for his secondary education before joining the army and participating in the Nigerian Civil War (1967–1970). Aziza then attended the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna, graduating in 1970. He was commissioned 2nd lieutenant and promoted to lieutenant in 1970, and was posted to the 3rd Marine Commando. In 1971, he was promoted to captain. He was appointed ADC to the Chief of Army Staff, Major General David Ejoor. Colonel (Later Brigadier General) Salihu Tunde Bello was Administrator of Kebbi State in Nigeria from December 1993 to August 1996 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. During his administration he achieved significant development of the state infrastructure. In July 1999, after the return to democracy, all armed forces officers that had served in military governments for six months or more were forced to retire. National Republican Convention
The National Republican Convention was a Nigerian political party established by the government of General Ibrahim Babangida and ultimately disbanded by the military regime of General Sani Abacha in 1993. Alignment The party was organized to cater to the conservative leanings of some Nigerians, it flourished in the core northern states and Eastern states of Abia and Enugu. However, many felt there was little difference between the party and its competitor, the Social Democratic Party, another government created party. Muhammad Adamu Aliero (born 1 January 1957) was governor of Kebbi State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He became Senator for Kebbi Central from June 5, 2007 till December 18, 2008. Aliero was appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory by President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua in December 2008.
