Abu Salim (actor)
Abu Salim (born 1956) is an Indian actor in Malayalam movies, in which he has played villains roles and other characters. He has also acted in a few Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu films. Early life and background Abu Salim was born as the second son among 6 children to Kunhammed and Fathima at Kalpetta in Wayanad. He had his primary education from S.K.M.J. High school, Kalpetta, Waynad. His debut movie was ''Rajan Paranja Kadha'' in 1978. He is a Police Officer by profession and retired as a Sub-Inspector in 2012. He won the Mr. Calicut Title in 1981, Mr. Kerala in 1982, Mr. South India thrice in 1983, 1986 and 1987, and Mr. India title in 1984 and fifth place in 1992. Personal life He married Ummukulsu on 23 May 1982. The couple have a daughter, Sabitha and a son, Sanu Salim. Abu Salim (comedian)
Salah Tizani (in Arabic صلاح تيزاني), full name Salaheddine Mohammad Ameen al Tizani (born 1927 in Tripoli, Lebanon) is a well-known Lebanese actor and comedian. He is best known for his character Abou Salim (in Arabic أبو سليم), the title character of a few long-running Lebanese comedy television series, where he portrayed the character of a funny, simple and conciliatory man trying to solve the rifts between the various characters in the series. The series were credited to "Abou Salim and his Troupe" (أبو سليم وفرقته) and included other memorable characters such as "Fehmen," played by Mahmoud Mabsout, "Asaad," played by Abdallah Homsi, "Shukri Shukrallah," played by Salah Sobh, and "Zaghloul," played by Fouad Hassan, all of whom were actors from the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli. Abu Salim Al-Ayyashi
Abu Salim 'Abd Allah ibn Mohammed ibn Abu Bakr al-'Ayyashi () (May 4, 1628December 13 or 18, 1679) was a well-known travel writer, poet, lawyer, and Sufi scholar from Morocco. Biography Abu Salim al-'Ayyashi was born on 4 May 1628 in the Berber tribe of ait Ayyash living in the Middle Moroccan Atlas. His father was the head of a zawiyya. Al-Ayyashi lived and studied in Fez and joined the Sufi order of the Nasiriyya in Tamegroute. He travelled three times to the Hejaz in 1649, 1653 and 1661 and stayed for long periods in Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem and Cairo. Works He wrote a two volume rihla about his journeys: ''Ma’ al-Mawa’id'' (Table Water). Irfan Bakti Abu Salim is a Malaysian football coach, who is head coach of the Malaysia Premier League club Kuching City. Playing career He had played with Kelantan FA and ATM FA in 1970s. He also was in the Malaysia squad for the 1976 AFC Asian Cup in Tehran, Iran. Coaching career Beginnings He spent most of his early coaching days as a coach with the Football Association of Malaysia in Wisma FAM. He first worked as a state coach with the Negri Sembilan team, and later joined Penang FA and TMFC respectively. Abu Salim Prison
Abu Salim prison ( ar, سجن أبو سليم) is a maximum security prison in Tripoli, Libya. The prison was notorious during the rule of Muammar Gaddafi for alleged mistreatment and human rights abuses, including a massacre in 1996 in which Human Rights Watch estimated that 1,270 prisoners were killed. In 2011, when the NTC invited investigators from CNN and other organizations it found only what appeared to be animal bones at that site and announced further investigations. Construction The prison was built in 1984 by foreign workers in record time from imported, pre-fabricated concrete slabs. Each slab had a concrete hole in its middle, so that cranes could put the slabs in place. The holes were then filled with mortar, but inmates later managed to reopen the holes, hide the openings and communicate through them with each other. The Abu Salim Martyrs Brigade was an Islamist militia that advocated for the implementation of Sharia law within Derna, Libya. The group was known for enforcing strict social rules in the city. Background The Abu Salim Martyrs Brigade was created by former Libyan Islamic Fighting Group member Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi.
