Abu Bakar Juah
Abu Bakar bin Mohd Juah (29 April 1948 – 15 August 2020) was a Malaysian actor and former prison officer. He served as Senior Director of Taiping Prison before retiring in 2005. Early life Abu Bakar Juah was born on 29 April 1948 and grew up in Taiping, Perak. He had married Rusidah Mohd Yassin in 1980 and had four children and one grandchild. He was last seen in a Malaysian television drama, Mr. Grey in 2018. Filmography Film Television series Telemovie Illness and death He was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016. However, he was confirmed to be cured from stage four of colon cancer after undergoing 12 sessions of chemotherapy treatment at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM). He died at his residence in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur on the evening of 15 August 2020.

Taiping (, Jawi alphabet, Jawi: ; zh, t=太平, , Penang Hokkien, Hokkien: Thài-pêng; ta, தைப்பிங்) is a town located in Larut, Matang and Selama District, Perak, Malaysia. It is located approximately northwest of Ipoh, the capital of Perak, and southeast of George Town, Penang, George Town, Penang. With a population of 245,182 (in 2013), it is the second largest town in Perak after Ipoh, the state capital. Taiping took over Kuala Kangsar's role as the state capital from 1876 to 1937, but was then replaced by Ipoh. Its growth slowed after that, but in recent years the town has been developing rapidly again. Perak State Museum is located in the town. Taiping also receives some limelight for being the wettest town in Peninsular Malaysia. The average annual rainfall is about 4,000mm in Taiping while the peninsula's average is 2,000mm – 2,500mm. TV9 (spelled as ''tivi sembilan'') is a Malaysian free-to-air television network launched on 22 April 2006 as a subsidiary of Media Prima, Media Prima Berhad. It airs programming that tends mostly towards the Malay demographic. The channel formerly existed as Channel 9 from 9 September 2003 until 3 February 2005 due to financial difficulties faced by the operator. TV9 started broadcasting 24 hours a day on 6 May 2019. History As Channel 9/nine nine was launched on 9 September 2003, broadcasting daily from 8:00 am to 3:00 am daily. Channel 9 was conceived and launched by media entrepreneur, Jamal Hassim.
