Hovik Argami Abrahamyan (; born 24 January 1959), also known by the nickname Muk ( hy, Մուկ), is an Armenian politician, former member of the ruling Republican Party, he was the Prime Minister of Armenia from 13 April 2014 to 8 September 2016. Previously he was the President of the National Assembly of Armenia. Early life Abrahamyan, born in Mkhchyan village in Armenia's Ararat Province, began his professional career in 1990 as the department head of the Burastan Brandy Factory and later as the president of Artashat wine-brandy factory. Tatev Abrahamyan ( hy, Տաթև Աբրահամյան; born January 13, 1988) is an Armenian-American chess player. She currently holds the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM). Career Abrahamyan finished in a tie for first place with Nana Dzagnidze and Varvara Kirillova in the Girls U12 section of the 1999 European Youth Chess Championships, and took the bronze medal on tiebreak. She tied for first in the 2005 U.S. Women's Chess Championship and lost the playoff match to Rusudan Goletiani. In 2006, Abrahamyan won the Girls Under 18 section of the Pan American Youth Chess Festival, held in Cuenca, Ecuador, with a perfect score of 9/9 points. In 2008 Abrahamyan won the Goddess Chess Award for her uncompromising play. Khoren Babkeni Abrahamyan ( hy, Խորեն Բաբկենի Աբրահամյան, April 1, 1930, Yerevan – December 10, 2004) was an Armenian actor and director, and People's Artist of the USSR. Alyosha Abrahamyan ( hy, Ալյոշա Աբրահամյան; 29 August 1945 – 26 August 2018) was an Armenian footballer who played as a goalkeeper for FC Ararat Yerevan. He has been described as an Armenian football legend. Information He began his career with Shirak SC in 1964. He then moved over to FC Ararat Yerevan from 1965 to 1968, where during the 1965 season, he was named best USSR rookie goalkeeper by Smena magazine. He played a single game for Shirak SC in 1969 then resumed play with FC Ararat Yerevan. He stayed with the club until 1978 then finished off his playing career with Shirak SC in 1979. He was part of Ararat's 1973 Soviet Top League championship, which was the only Armenian team to capture the Soviet championship and helped the club win the Soviet Cup in 1973 and 1975. Western Armenian ( Classical spelling: , ) is one of the two standardized forms of Modern Armenian, the other being Eastern Armenian. It is based mainly on the Istanbul Armenian dialect, as opposed to Eastern Armenian, which is mainly based on the Yerevan Armenian dialect.
