Above Znoneofthe (; born 28 June 1969) is a Canadian politician and perennial candidate. He changed his name to "Above Znoneofthe" with a silent "Z" so that his name would be placed last on alphabetical ballots (hence reflecting the idea of voting for None of the Above). Biography While a university student, Znoneofthe ran in the 1993 Canadian federal election as a candidate for the short-lived National Party of Canada in the Ontario riding of Markham—Whitchurch-Stouffville, earning about 1% of the vote. Znoneofthe decided to re-enter politics in 2015, and name change, legally changed his name so that it would appear on electoral ballots as "Znoneofthe, Above", adding a silent letter, silent Z so that his name would appear at the bottom of alphabetical-order ballots. An independent or non-partisan politician is a politician not affiliated with any political party or bureaucratic association. There are numerous reasons why someone may stand for office as an independent. Some politicians have political views that do not align with the platforms of any political party, and therefore choose not to affiliate with them. Some independent politicians may be associated with a party, perhaps as former members of it, or else have views that align with it, but choose not to stand in its name, or are unable to do so because the party in question has selected another candidate. Bill Attewell
William Charles Attewell (January 21, 1932 – December 24, 2021) is a former Canadian politician. A corporate executive, Attewell was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada as the Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for Don Valley East defeating Liberal cabinet minister David Smith in the 1984 federal election that brought Brian Mulroney to power. As a result of redistribution, he decided to move to the riding of Markham, just outside Toronto, where he owned property, for the 1988 federal election leaving his former riding to former East York mayor Alan Redway who retained the riding for the Tories. Jag Bhaduria
Jagdish Singh (Jag) Bhaduria (also variously spelled Badauria or Bhadauria) (born January 23, 1940 in New Delhi, India) is an Indian-Canadian teacher. He served as the Member of Parliament for the Ontario riding of Markham—Whitchurch-Stouffville in the 35th Parliament of Canada, from 1993 to 1997. Bhaduria was nominated as the Liberal candidate in the riding of Markham and contested the 1988 federal election, placing a distant second to Progressive Conservative incumbent Bill Attewell. In the 1993 election their fortunes reversed, with Bhaduria defeating Attewell by a nearly two to one margin. The Rhinoceros Party (sometimes referred to in English as the Second Rhinoceros Party), officially the Parti Rhinocéros Party, is a Canadian federal-level political party. It was known as neorhino.ca until 2010, when the party changed its name, registering a new party logo. The 2021 Canadian federal election was held on September 20, 2021, to elect members of the House of Commons to the 44th Canadian Parliament. The writs of election were issued by Governor General Mary Simon on August 15, 2021, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau requested the dissolution of parliament for a snap election. Trudeau won a third term as prime minister, his second minority government. Though the Liberals were hoping to win a majority government to govern alone, the results were mostly unchanged from the 2019 Canadian federal election. Papineau (formerly Papineau—Saint-Denis and Papineau—Saint-Michel) is a federal electoral district in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1948.
