Abhik Patwa
Abhik Ramesh Patwa (born 5 February 1987) is a Tanzanian cricketer. He played in the 2014 ICC World Cricket League Division Five tournament. In July 2018, he was part of Tanzania's squad in the Eastern sub region group for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier tournament. In October 2021, he was named as the captain of Tanzania's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their matches in Group B of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Rwanda. He made his T20I debut on 2 November 2021, for Tanzania against Mozambique. Dar Es Salaam
Dar es Salaam (; from ar, دَار السَّلَام, Dâr es-Selâm, lit=Abode of Peace) or commonly known as Dar, is the largest city and financial hub of Tanzania. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Twenty20 International
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. However, in April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to all its 105 members from 1 January 2019. 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, during October and November 2021. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers will be played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). The Africa Qualifier started with a sub-regional qualifier consisting of two groups, with the top team in each group progressing to the Regional Final. Mozambique National Cricket Team
The Mozambique national cricket team is the men's team that represents Mozambique in international cricket. They are administered by the Mozambican Cricket Association which became International Cricket Council (ICC) member as an affiliate member in 2003, since 2017 they are an associate member.
