Aberdeen Sports Ground
Aberdeen Sports Ground () is a rugby union and football sports ground situated at 108 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong. It is the home stadium of Hong Kong Premier League football club Southern and Global Rapid Rugby rugby union team South China Tigers. Inside the stadium, there is one running track (6 lanes, 400m) and one natural grass pitch. Aberdeen Sports Ground is also the venue for 30 Hour Famine in Hong Kong. After successfully gaining the right to play in the 2012–13 season on 8 April 2012, Southern continued to use Aberdeen Sports Ground as their home ground in the First Division. As a result of Typhoon Mangkhut in September 2018, Aberdeen Sports Ground's West stand and canopy were damaged and deemed unusable. Famine events are localized events of voluntary fasting for 30 or 40 hours depending on the region to raise money and awareness for world hunger. Typhoon Mangkhut (), known in the Philippines as Typhoon Ompong, was a powerful and catastrophic tropical cyclone that caused extensive damage in Guam, the Philippines and South China in September 2018. Global Rapid Rugby was an international rugby union competition that launched a showcase series for six professional teams in 2019, played in locations across the Asia-Pacific region. Aberdeen () is an area on southwest Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. Administratively, it is part of the Southern District. Ocean Park Station
Ocean Park () is an MTR rapid transit station in Hong Kong on the eastern section of the , which serves Ocean Park Hong Kong and Wong Chuk Hang. It opened on 28 December 2016 with the rest of the South Island line. It takes around 4 minutes to travel from to Ocean Park station, which is 21 minutes faster than taking the Citybus route 629 from Admiralty station to Hong Kong Ocean Park. The station is built above ground, north of Ocean Park Road, above the Ocean Park Bus Depot. A footbridge links the station with the park entrance.
