Aberdeen Arsenal
The Aberdeen Arsenal were an Atlantic League team based in Bel Air, Maryland. For the 2000 season, they played in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which was not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The Arsenal departed from Aberdeen to make room for the Aberdeen IronBirds, the A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles owned by Cal Ripken Jr. The Arsenal played at Thomas Run Park, on the campus of Harford Community College. Neal Conan
Neal Joseph Conan III (November 26, 1949August 10, 2021) was an American radio journalist, producer, editor, and correspondent. He worked for National Public Radio for over 36 years and was the senior host of its talk show ''Talk of the Nation''. Conan hosted ''Talk of the Nation'' from 2001 to June 27, 2013, when the program was discontinued; with the discontinuation NPR announced that Conan would depart the network. Early life Conan was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on November 26, 1949. His father, Neal Jr., worked as a physician and headed the medical center at the American University of Beirut; his mother, Theodora (Blake), was a housewife. His family relocated to Saudi Arabia when Conan was a child, before moving to New Jersey and Manhattan. He studied at Loomis Chaffee School and Riverdale Country School. Harford County, Maryland
Harford County is located in the U.S. state of Maryland. As of the 2020 census, the population was 260,924. Its county seat is Bel Air. Harford County is included in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson, MD Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Washington-Baltimore-Arlington, DC-MD-VA-WV-PA Combined Statistical Area. History In 1608 the area was settled by Massawomecks and Susquehannocks. The first European to see the area was John Smith in 1608 when he traveled up the Chesapeake Bay from Jamestown. In 1652, the English and Susquehannocks signed a treaty at what is now Annapolis for the area now called Harford County. Harford County was formed on March 22, 1774 from the eastern part of Baltimore County with a population of 13,000 people. The Bel Air campus of 1964 occupies and now has 21 buildings totaling over .
