Erna Von Abendroth
Erna von Abendroth (4 February 1887 – 26 February 1959) was a pioneering German nurse and trainer/teacher. After the First World War she became the first German nurse to receive a PhD degree in return for a dissertation with a nursing theme. After the Second World War, starting in May 1946 she took charge of the reconstruction of the "Werner" Red Cross Nursing Academy at Göttingen. Life Erna von Abendroth was born in Ostritz, a small town located to the south of Görlitz and directly on the frontier with Bohemia. Alexander Bernhard Ernst von Abendroth (1853-), her father, was a cavalry officer. She attended school locally and then spent five years studying at a teacher training college in Dresden. She concluded her studies, passing the necessary exams, in 1906. she then worked as a home tutor. Walter Abendroth
Walter Fedor Georg Abendroth (29 May 1896 in Hanover – 30 September 1973 in Fischbachau) was a German composer, editor, and writer on music. Life Walter Abendroth was born in the Lower Saxon city of Hanover. The middle child of a land surveyor, he grew up with a younger brother and an older sister in Hanover and, from 1907, in Berlin. He encountered the teachings of Rudolf Steiner as a schoolchild. From that moment on, Anthroposophy, a movement for which he would remain active in many contexts, became a constant companion in his life. From 1914 he studied Painting and Music in Munich; 1916 he was drafted into the military. After 1918, his "Wanderjahre" took him to Göttingen, where he married in 1920, Jena, Hamburg, Cologne and finally back to Berlin in 1930. Four Last Songs
The ''Four Last Songs'' (german: Vier letzte Lieder, link=no), Op. posth., for soprano and orchestra are – with the exception of the song "Malven" (Mallows), composed later the same year – the final completed works of Richard Strauss. They were composed in 1948 when the composer was 84. The songs are "Frühling" (Spring), "September", "" (When Falling Asleep) and "Im Abendrot" (At Sunset). The title ''Four Last Songs'' was provided posthumously by Strauss's friend Ernst Roth, who published the four songs as a single unit in 1950 after Strauss's death. Strauss died in September 1949. The premiere was given at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 22 May 1950 by soprano Kirsten Flagstad and the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler. Abendroth & Root Manufacturing Company were a manufacturer of water heaters, water tanks, and other sanitation equipment. Founded in Newburgh, New York, in 1866, they entered the automobile business in 1906. Using the name Frontenac, they catered to the upper middle class, featuring large-displacement four-cylinder engines. Only twelve were built the first year Production peaked at 100 vehicles per year in 1907 and dropped off from there until production ended in 1913. As a result, the company abandoned the effort and returned to their original business. The factory was located at the foot of Park Place. You Blew It! was an American emo quintet based in Orlando, Florida. The band was formed in 2009 by Tanner Jones, Timothy Flynn, and Matt Messore. ''Abendrot'' is the third and final studio album by American emo band, You Blew It! The album was released through Triple Crown Records on November 11, 2016. It was announced on September 21, 2016. The first single, "Autotheology" was released the same day. In November 16 of the same year the band announced a 2017 US tour in support of the album with All Get Out and Free Throw as their opening acts. Wolfgang Abendroth
Wolfgang Walter Arnulf Abendroth (2 May 1906 – 15 September 1985) was a socialist German jurist and political scientist. He was born in Elberfeld, now a part of Wuppertal in North Rhine-Westphalia. Abendroth was an important contributor to the constitutional foundation of postwar West Germany. He briefly held a professorship in law in East Germany. As he was opposed to Stalinism, he left for West Germany, where he was appointed professor in political science at Marburg in 1950. Abendroth also served as a senior judge in the state court of Hesse. In the late 1950s, while at the University of Marburg, Abendroth oversaw the habilitation in political science of major German philosopher, sociologist, and political theorist Jürgen Habermas. Irene Abendroth, born as Irene Thaller von Draga (14 July 1872 – 1 September 1932) was an Austrian-Polish coloratura soprano singer. She was a pupil of Frau Wilczek. She was a member of the Vienna court opera in 1889, and she sang in Riga and Munich, and again in Vienna (1894-99). She was engaged from 1899 to 1908 at the Royal Opera in Dresden. Martin Abendroth (4 October 1883 – 14 December 1977 in Neuenhagen bei Berlin) was a German opera singer (bass-baritone) and voice teacher. Life and career Abendroth was trained in Berlin where he was born. In 1906 he made his debut at the Stadttheater Königsberg. Afterwards he sang at the Stadttheater of Krefeld, the Wrocław Opera, the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and from 1925 at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin. He created the role of the Doctor in Alban Berg's ''Wozzeck'' on 14 December 1925, conducted by Erich Kleiber, with Leo Schützendorf in the title role. An afterglow in meteorology consists of several atmospheric optical phenomena, with a general definition as a broad arch of whitish or pinkish sunlight in the twilight sky, consisting of the bright segment and the purple light. Purple light mainly occurs when the Sun is 2-6° below the horizon, from civil to nautical twilight, while the bright segment lasts until the end of the nautical twilight. Afterglow is often in cases of volcanic eruptions discussed, while its purple light is discussed as a different particular ''volcanic purple light''.
