Abdullah Mukwaya
Abdullah Muhammad Mukwaya is a Ugandan teacher and religious leader who is the current District Qadi of Mbarara District under the Ankole-Kigezi region. Career Qadi: 2019–present He was inaugurated into power on 24 April 2019 in the attendance of the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as chief guest of the ceremony and the Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Mubajje. The president also laid a foundation stone for a multi-billion Supreme General Hospital, a new project in Mbarara Municipality that is being undertaken by Muslims in Mbarara district. The president also gifted the Mukwaya with a brand new car. The inauguration was led by Sheikh Ahmed Nyago, the chairman of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council electoral commission. Ahamed Siraj Kwikiriza
Ahamed Siraj Kwikiriza was a Ugandan religious leader. He was the District Qadi of Mbarara District under the Ankole-Kigezi region until 1 September 2017. Death Aged 50, Kwikiriza died in a motor accident on 1 September 2017 at Independence Park driving Pajero number UAH 984N rushing from the market to lead Eid-Adhah prayers at Abubakar Mosque in Kakoba division. He was with his son who died on arrival after being rushed to Mbarara referral hospital. At the time of his death, Siraj had replaced Shiekh Ramadhan Khamis who had been accused of selling muslim property. Qadi
A qāḍī ( ar, قاضي, Qāḍī; otherwise transliterated as qazi, cadi, kadi, or kazi) is the magistrate or judge of a '' sharīʿa'' court, who also exercises extrajudicial functions such as mediation, guardianship over orphans and minors, and supervision and auditing of public works. Sheikh (pronounced or ; ar, شيخ ' , mostly pronounced , plural ' )—also transliterated sheekh, sheyikh, shaykh, shayk, shekh, shaik and Shaikh, shak—is an honorific title in the Arabic language. Usama () "Osam" Nyanzi Mukwaya (born 12 December 1989) is a Ugandan screenwriter, film director, producer, actor and former television host. His major films include ''Bala Bala Sese'', directed by Lukyamuzi Bashir with which Mukwaya is credited as the film's writer and producer. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa (born 15 September 1944) is a Ugandan politician and retired senior military officer who has been the 9th and current President of Uganda since 26 January 1986. The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) is the chief organization for governing and representing Islam in Uganda. The UMSC was founded in 1972 to bring together the divided Muslim community in Uganda. It is currently led by Sheikh Shaban Mubaje, who serves as the Grand Mufti of Uganda. Organization Initial constitution (1972) The first UMSC constitution was drafted in 1972 at a religious conference organised by Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. This constitution stated that the organisation would be led by a Supreme Council of eleven representatives from Uganda's 21 civil administrative districts. Sharia (; ar, شريعة, sharīʿa ) is a body of religious law that forms a part of the Islamic tradition. Uganda is an overwhelmingly Christian majority country, with Islam being the second most widely professed faith. According to the 2013 National Census, Islam in Uganda was practised by 13.7 percent of the population.
