Abdul Aziz (Indian Politician)
Abdul Aziz ( bn, আব্দুল আজীজ) is an Indian politician and Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly. Early life and family Abdul Aziz was born between 1968 and 1969, into a Bengali Muslim family in India. His father was Abdul Latif of Kanishail. In 1988, he achieved his Higher Secondary School Certificate and later married Asma Begum. Career Abdul Aziz began his career as a businessman before also getting involved in politics. Karimganj is a city in the Karimganj District of the Indian state of Assam. It is the administrative headquarters of the district. Karimganj city is located at . The area of Karimganj city is 16.09 km2. It has an average elevation of 13 metres (42 feet). Demographics As per as the official census of 2011, Karimganj city had a population of 56,854 of which 28,473 are males while 28,381 are females. Children in the age group of 0 to 6 years were 4,946. The 2021 Assam Legislative Assembly election was the 15th quinquennial State legislative assemblies of India, legislative assembly election held in the Indian state of Assam from March 27 to April 6 in three phases, to elect 126 Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), MLAs to the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly. The All India United Democratic Front (also known as AIUDF and ''Sarva Bharatiya Sanyukt Ganatantric Morcha'') is a political party active in the Indian state of Assam. It is the 3rd largest political party in Assam Legislative Assembly after BJP and Indian National Congress, INC. Jamal Uddin Ahmed ( bn, জামাল উদ্দিন আহমেদ; 12 June 1954 – 27 January 2021) was an Indian politician and former Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly. Early life Ahmed was born on 12 June 1954, to Bengali Muslim parents Haji Najib Ali and Sayful Bibi in Assam's Karimganj, which was a part of Sylhet district before the 1947 Partition of India. Career After passing his High School Leaving Certificate, Ahmed began social work. He became the president of a cultural club, and made a visit to Bangladesh.
