Abdul-Hamid Dashti
Abdul-Hamid Abbas Hussein Dashti (, born August 5, 1954), also known as ''Abdulhameed Dashti'', is a lawyer and former member of the Kuwait National Assembly The National Assembly ( ar, مجلس الأمة) is the unicameral legislature of Kuwait. The National Assembly meets in Kuwait City. Political parties are illegal in Kuwait, candidates run as independents. The National Assembly is made up of 50 .... He is a Kuwaiti of Iranian descent (Ajam of Kuwait). He graduated from the Kuwaiti Military College in 1974, where he started his career as a pilot and held several positions in the Kuwait Air Force until he resigned from military service in 1982. In 2015, his legal immunity was revoked by the Kuwaiti National Assembly and he was subsequently tried and convicted for insulting the Kuwaiti judiciary and insulting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, for which he was sentenced in absentia to 14 years. Alexandria University ( ar, جامعة الإسكندرية) is a public university in Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1938 as a satellite of Fouad University (the name of which was later changed to Cairo University), becoming an independent entity in 1942. 'Ajam Of Kuwait
Ajam of Kuwait or Ayam of Kuwait are Kuwaiti citizens of Iranian origin, who migrated to Kuwait over the past 300 years. Historically, Persian ports provided most of Kuwait's economic needs. Marafi Behbahani was one of the first merchants to settle in Kuwait in the 18th century. The majority of Shia Kuwaiti citizens are of Iranian ancestry. Some Kuwaitis of Iranian origin are Sunni Muslims such as the Al-Kandari and Al-Awadhi families of Larestani ancestry. Iranian Balochi families first immigrated to Kuwait in the 19th century.
