Abdoulaye Harouna
Abdoulaye Harouna Amadou (born 12 December 1992) is a Nigerien basketball player who plays for AS Douanes of the Nationale 1 and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). He has also played for the Niger national team. Harouna played college basketball for Miami RedHawks between 2015 and 2019. Early life Born and raised in Niamey, Niger, Harouna was named MVP of the all-star game in Niger two times. He also participated at the Adidas Nations training camp in four years. Harouna later moved to the United States to play high school basketball for the private boarding school South Kent School. College career Harouna played for the College of Southern Idaho and earned all-region honours; he was named MVP of the Region 18 tournament and helped the Golden Eagles to a 31–3 record and number 3 seed in the NCJAA tournament. Zarma (also spelled Djerma, Jerma, Dyabarma, Dyarma, Dyerma, Adzerma, Zabarma, Zarbarma, Zarmaci or Zerma) is one of the Songhay languages. 2022 BAL Season
The 2022 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 2, was the second season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 2 March 2022 and ended with the Finals on 28 May 2022. The group phase was played in the Dakar Arena in Dakar and the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo. The playoffs and finals were played in the BK Arena in Kigali for a second year in a row. Tunisian club US Monastir won the finals to win its first-ever BAL title, after defeating Angolan club Petro de Luanda in the 2022 BAL Finals. As winners, Monastir qualified for the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Format On 9 December 2021, the BAL announced a new format for the season, with an expansion of the number of total games to 38. 2024 BAL Season
The 2024 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 4, will be the 4th season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season will begin in March 2024 and will finish with the playoffs and finals in the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, for a fourth consecutive season. The league was expanded to 48 games, including four venues, as South Africa will host the inaugural Kalahari Conference. Al Ahly are the defending champions, having won the previous edition. Venues On 19 June 2023, the BAL and the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) announced they agreed on a multi-year extension to their collaboration.
