Abdol Hossein Hejazi
Abdol Hossein Hejazi (1904–1969) was an Iranian military officer who served as the commander of the Imperial Iranian Army's Ground Forces between 1958 and 1960. Biography Hejazi was born in 1904. He graduated from École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr in France. He was a major general. Following the proclamation of the martial law on 20 March 1951 after the approval of the nationalization of oil by the Senate he was appointed military governor. Hejazi was also made the chief of police on the same date replacing General Mohammad Faftari who had resigned from the post. He served as the head of the military college until August 1952 when he was removed from the post. The reason for Hejazi's removal was his alliance with Fazlollah Zahedi who was a retired military officer and senator and a rival of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi ( fa, Ù…Øمدرضا پهلوی, ; 26 October 1919 – 27 July 1980), also known as Mohammad Reza Shah (), was the last ''Shah'' (King) of the Imperial State of Iran from 16 September 1941 until his overthrow in the Iranian Revolution on 11 February 1979. Owing to his status, he was usually known as the Shah. Reza Azimi
Reza Azimi () was a senior military officer during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. He was a general and held various military and government posts, including commander of the Imperial Iranian Ground Forces and minister of war. Biography Azimi served as the commander of the Imperial Iranian Ground Forces between 1960 and 1966. He left the office due to illness. Then he was made general adjutant to the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi which he held until 1970. Later Azimi served as the minister of war between 1971 and 1977 in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Amir Abbas Hoveyda. He was appointed to the post on 13 September 1971. Azimi was among the nine members of the cabinet who were not Hoveyda's appointees or proteges. His deputy at the ministry was also a retired army officer, Hassan Toufanian.
