Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdi Hashi ( so, Cabdiraxmaan Maxamed Cabdi Xaashi, is a Somali politician, former minister of fisheries and marine resources in the Federal Government of Somalia. Hashi is the son of co-founder and the former president of Puntland Mohamed Abdi Hashi. Career Hashi is an economist by profession, and a financial expert with nearly thirty years of experience working in Wall Street and the World Bank. Dr. Abdirahman was a candidate for the president of Somalia in 2012. He has two master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University and attended George Mason University and received his PhD in economics. He authored a book on Islamic finances, tilted ''Islamic Banking: Steady in Shaky Times?'' Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed ( so, Maxaamed Cabdullaahii Maxaamed, ar, محمد عبدالله محمد; born 11 March 1962), also known as Farmaajo, is a Somali politician who served as president of Somalia from 2017 to 2022. He was prime minister of Somalia for six months, from November 2010 to June 2011. Mohamed is the founder and leader of the Tayo Party since 2012. Early life and education Mohamed was born in Mogadishu. Mohamed comes from the Marehan, a sub-clan of the Darod clan. His parents were activists affiliated with the Somali Youth League (SYL), Somalia's first political party.
