Abbaigaru
''Abbayigaru'' is a 1993 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film, produced by M. Narasimha Rao under Raasi Movies and directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana. It stars Venkatesh and Meena, with music composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film recorded as a ''Super Hit'' at the box office. The movie is a remake of the 1987 Tamil movie ''Enga Chinna Rasa'', whose story was inspired by the Kannada novel ''Ardhaangi'' by B. Puttaswamayya, which incidentally went on to be adapted into a 1969 Kannada movie '' Mallammana Pavaada''. The film was dubbed in Tamil as ''Chinna Yejaman''. Plot Dora Babu is the only child of a multi-millionaire Venkatraidu, who can provide his son with anything he wants, but he loves his mother who ends up dying and his only desire is his mother's love. Meena (actress)
Meena Durairaj (born 16 September 1976), known professionally as Meena, is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the South Indian film industry as well as Hindi cinema. Meena has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films. In addition to acting, Meena is also a playback singer, TV judge, and occasional dubbing artist. Mallammana Pavaada (Meaning: The miracle of Mallamma) is a 1969 Kannada film, directed by Puttanna Kanagal. The film is based on the novel ''Ardhaangi'' written by B. Puttaswamayya. The screenplay was by P. Pullaiah based on his 1955 Telugu movie with similar story titled ''Ardhangi'', which itself was based on Maddipatla Suri's Telugu translation of the Bengali novel ''Swayamsidda'', written by Manilal Banerjee. ''Swayamsiddha'' went on to be made into a 1975 Bengali movie of the same name. Daggubati Venkatesh (born 13 December 1960) is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema and a few hindi films.
