Abake
Åbäke is a transdisciplinary graphic design collective, founded in 2000 by Patrick Lacey (UK), Benjamin Reichen (FR), Kajsa Ståhl (SE) and Maki Suzuki (FR) in London, England, after meeting at the Royal College of Art. Members of Åbäke co-founded Sexymachinery (Magazine, 2000–2008), Kitsuné (Record label, 2002-2012), Dent-De-Leone (Publishing house, 2009), Drawing Room Confession (Art journal, 2011). Martino Gamper
Martino Gamper (born in Merano, Italy, in 1971) is an Italian designer based in London who became internationally regarded through his project ''100 Chairs in 100 Days''. This group of works was exhibited in 2007 in London, the Milan Triennial in 2009, and at YBCA in San Francisco in late 2010. It has also been published by Dent-de-Leone as a book (''100 Chairs in 100 Days and its 100 Ways'') recently republished as a pocket book. The ''100 Chairs'' project has been described by Gamper as "3D Drawing", and is typical of Gamper's practice in that it shows disregard for the historic design standards of harmony and symmetry. Gamper has stated "There is no perfect chair". Gamper is married to the sculptor Francis Upritchard. Per Hüttner (born 11 February 1967) is a Swedish visual artist who lives and works in Paris. Peter Jensen (fashion Designer)
Peter Jensen (born in Løgstør, Denmark) is a men's and womenswear designer. Background Jensen initially studied graphic design, embroidery and tailoring at The Royal Danish Academy of Design in Copenhagen before moving to London in 1997 to undertake an MA in menswear at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He graduated in 1999 and formed his eponymous menswear label afterwards, subsequently also introducing womenswear. Jensen has regularly shown his collections on the main schedule at London Fashion Week, Copenhagen Fashion Week and New York fashion week. Museum Of Finnish Architecture
The Museum of Finnish Architecture ( fi, Suomen arkkitehtuurimuseo, sv, Finlands arkitekturmuseum) is an architectural museum in Helsinki, Finland. Established in 1956, it is the second oldest museum of its kind (after the Shchusev Museum of Architecture in Moscow) devoted specifically to architecture. The museum was founded on the basis of the photographic collection of the Finnish Association of Architects (SAFA), which was established in 1949. The museum is on Kasarmikatu street in Ullanlinna, housed in a neo-classical building, designed by architect Magnus Schjerfbeck and completed in 1899. The building was originally in the use of a scientific society and the University of Helsinki. Hussein Chalayan, (; tr, Hüseyin Çağlayan ; born 12 August 1970) is a British-Cypriot fashion designer. He has won the British Designer of the Year twice (in 1999 and 2000) and was awarded the MBE in 2006. Chalayan is currently teaching at HTW Berlin. Early life and education Hussein Chalayan was born in Nicosia in 1970 and graduated from the Türk Maarif Koleji secondary school in his hometown. At that time the population of the island was divided because of the constant struggles between the Greek and Turkish authorities. Ethnic conflicts between the Turkish and Greek Cypriot communities eventually led to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and led to human right abuses towards civilians on both sides. The Cardigans is a Swedish rock band formed in Jönköping, Sweden, in 1992 by guitarist Peter Svensson, bassist Magnus Sveningsson, drummer Bengt Lagerberg, keyboardist Lars-Olof Johansson and lead singer Nina Persson. Post-hiatus shows since 2012 have been with Oskar Humlebo on guitar instead of Svensson.
