Chiranjeet Chakraborty
Deepak Chakraborty (better known in film career as Chiranjeet Chakraborty; born 2 November 1955), is an Indian actor and director in the Bengali film industry located in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is also a politician and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Government of West Bengal. He was born on 2 November 1955 at Kolkata. He has got the BFJA Award for his film ''Abaidha'' in 2002. The film was directed by Gul Bahar Singh. Chiranjeet completed his Higher Secondary from Mitra Institution (Main). Gul Bahar Singh is a six time national award winning Indian film-maker. He received first national award in 1986 for his documentary film, ''Anukaran''. Early life Singh was born in Pakur, Jharkhand in a Sikh family and he is the youngest child of his parents. He studied in Pakur, Kolkata, and Faridabad, after completing his graduation Singh self-trained himself to become a filmmaker. Career He started his career in 1980 with his first documentary "Weeds" on street children, which received very good response. Rajit Kapur
Rajit Kapur is an Indian film and theatre actor and director. He is known for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the 1996 film, '' The Making of the Mahatma'' for which he won the National Film Award for Best Actor. Other notable roles are as the protagonist Unni in the Malayalam film '' Agnisakshi'', and the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi in the eponymous ''television series'', directed by Basu Chatterjee and broadcast on Doordarshan. The Endangered Archives Programme (EAP) is a funding programme and digital archive run by the British Library in London. It has the purpose of preserving cultural heritage where resources may be limited. Debashree Roy (born 8 August 1962), also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. As an actress, she is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She has been cited as the reigning queen of Bengali commercial cinema. She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award.
