Abaeté Aviação is a domestic airline based in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. Although the company was established in 1995 it was not authorized to operate regular flights until 2020. History Abaeté Aviação can trace its origins to Aerotáxi Abaeté, an air taxi airline established in 1979. In 1994, Aerotáxi Abaeté established a sister company called Abaeté Linhas Aéreas, dedicated to the operation of scheduled services. In 1995 a holding called Abaeté Aviação was created, comprising Aerotáxi Abaeté and Abaeté Linhas Aéreas. Both companies continued to offer services as charter and scheduled airlines and sometimes interchanged aircraft. Abaeté Linhas Aéreas ceased services in 2012 but Abaeté Aviação continued to exist. In March 2020, Abaeté Aviação was granted authorization to operate regular flights on its own right. Salvador International Airport
Salvador – Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport , formerly called Dois de Julho International Airport and known by the Trade name Salvador Bahia Airport is the airport serving Salvador, Brazil. Since 16 June 1998, by Federal Law, the airport is named after Luís Eduardo Maron Magalhães (1955–1998), an influential politician of the state of Bahia. It is operated by Vinci SA. Some of its facilities are shared with the Salvador Air Force Base of the Brazilian Air Force. History The airport, originally called Santo Amaro do Ipitanga Airport, was established in 1925. The Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante (English: ''pioneer'') is a Brazilian general purpose 15–21 passenger twin-turboprop light transport aircraft designed by Embraer for military and civil use. Mucugê
Mucugê is a municipality in the state of Bahia, in the North-East region of Brazil. It is close to the Chapada da Diamantina National Park. The city and region are served by Mucugê Airport. Initially inhabited by the Maracás Indians, the actual occupation occurred during the golden times of mineral prospection, from 1710, when gold was found near Contas River, marking the arrival of the explorers.
