Aasmund Nordstoga
Aasmund Nordstoga (born 26 August 1964) is a Norwegian musician, singer and composer from Vinje, Telemark. He made his solo debut in 2009 with the album ''Ein '', an album for which he was nominated for the Spellemannsprisen award. He released the record ''Livet er godt'' with lyrics by Aasmund Olavsson Vinje being a collaboration with his younger brother, Odd Nordstoga, Aasmund Nordstoga comes from a musical family. His mother, Ellen is a folk singer and his father, Olav Nordstoga is a folk singer, lyricist, and causer. He is also related to Kåre Nordstoga, a musician from Notodden. Vinje
Vinje is a municipality in Telemark in the county of Vestfold og Telemark in Norway. It is part of the traditional regions of Upper Telemark and Vest-Telemark. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Åmot. General information Name The municipality of Vinje (originally a parish) is named after the old ''Vinje'' farm (Old Norse: ''Vinjar''), since the first church was built there. Notodden
Notodden () is a List of towns and cities in Norway, city and List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestfold og Telemark Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional region of Øst-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Notodden. Notodden was separated from the municipality of Heddal in 1913 to become a separate city and municipality. On 1 January 1964, the rural municipalities of Heddal and Gransherad were merged into Notodden to form a new enlarged municipality. Notodden is on the shore of Heddalsvatnet lake, and the Tinnelva, Tinn River runs through the town into the lake. Gunnhild Sundli
Gunnhild Eide Sundli (born 2 July 1985) is a Norwegian musical artist. She was born and raised in Orkdal, Norway and now resides in Trondheim. Career Sundli started to " kvede" (a traditional Norwegian singing tradition) as a nine-year-old, and has since also been singing classical and jazz. She studied "kveding" at Heimdal videregående skole (high school). Sundli is best known as the singer of the band Gåte from 1999 until the band took a break in 2005. In 2017 Gåte returned with a new EP and a full length album in 2019. They are currently working on producing a "Best of" album, with a new album in late 2021. In February 2006 she started her acting career with her debut in the cabaret ''Cafe Isogaisa'' by Hans Rotmo, and continued in June in the role as Anna in Korsvikaspillet in Trondheim. Nynorsk User Of The Year
Nynorsk User of the Year ( no, Årets nynorskbrukar) is a prize awarded by the Nynorsk Cultural Center at the Nynorsk Festival every year. The prize is awarded to the "persons or institutions that demonstrate the ability to break language and cultural conventions on the use of Nynorsk, which through their example or practical work make it easier to be Nynorsk users, or which create a greater general understanding of Nynorsk." Since 2006, the prize has consisted of NOK 50,000 and a graphic print, and on two occasions a copy of the game ''Dialektspelet''. In 2014, the prize was NOK 100,000, split equally between the two prize recipients. The competition is headed by the Nynorsk Cultural Center, which also serves as the jury. Kåre Nordstoga
Kåre Nordstoga (born 18 December 1954) is a Norwegian organist. Nordstoga had his early studies under Harald Aune and Odd Jacob Unhammer in Notodden where he grew up. He went on to study at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, where his teachers included Kaare Ørnung, Søren Gangfløt, Magne Elvestrand and Bjørn Boysen. Nordstoga has also studied with David Sanger in London. Telemark
Telemark is a traditional region, a former county, and a current electoral district in southern Norway. In 2020, Telemark merged with the former county of Vestfold to form the county of Vestfold og Telemark. Telemark borders the traditional regions and former counties of Vestfold, Buskerud, Hordaland, Rogaland and Aust-Agder.
