Aaron Pressley
Aaron Alex Pressley (born 7 November 2001) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Accrington Stanley, on loan from club Brentford. He is a product of the Aston Villa and Heart of Midlothian academies and was capped by Scotland at U16 and U17 level. Club career Brentford After beginning his career in the Heart of Midlothian and Aston Villa academies, Pressley transferred to the B team at Championship club Brentford on 29 January 2020. During what remained of the COVID-19-affected 2019–20 season, he scored three goals in six appearances. As a result of the EFL permitting 9 substitutes to be named in matchday squads partway through the 2020–21 season, Pressley was promoted onto the first team substitutes' bench and was named in 15 matchday squads between November 2020 and February 2021. 2021 English Football League Play-offs
The English Football League play-offs for the 2020–21 season (referred to as the Sky Bet Play-Offs for sponsorship reasons) were held in May 2021, with all finals played at Wembley Stadium in London. The play-offs begin in each league with two semi-finals played over two legs. The teams who finished in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place in the Championship and League One and the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th-placed teams in League Two are set to compete. The winners of the semi-finals advance to the finals, with the winner of the final gaining promotion for the following season. Steven John Pressley (born 11 October 1973) is a Scottish professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player who played as a centre back. He was most recently the manager (association football), manager of Carlisle United F.C., Carlisle United. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. The Atlantic Cup is a pre/mid season football tournament held in Algarve, Portugal for European football clubs from national leagues which do not operate in the winter months. It therefore consists mainly of teams from Scandinavia, Northern and Central Europe.
