Aaron James (footballer)
Aaron James (born 31 October 1976) is an Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood, Richmond and the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Having performed well in the TAC Cup, Collingwood selected James with pick 35 in the 1993 AFL draft. He was just 17 when he made his AFL debut in 1994, against Hawthorn, but his only statistic from the game was a free kick against. After making just one further appearance that year, James became a regular member of the team in 1995 with 16 games for the season. A knee injury kept him out of the side for the entirety of 1996 but still made headlines when he was charged with affray following a brawl with nightclub security. He did not return until midway through the 1997 season and at the end of the year was again in trouble, this time for urinating on two women at the "Saloon Bar" in South Yarra. Western Jets
The Western Jets is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Victorian premier U19 competition, the NAB League, since its inception in 1992. The club have developmental squads in the U16, however much of the attention is towards its U18 team. The club is geographically set in Melbourne's West as part of a decision by AFL Victoria (formerly Football Victoria) to have clubs in all regions of the state. The club trains in Melbourne's inner west at Crofts Reserve in Altona North and plays NAB League matches at Burbank Oval in Williamstown. Their current coach is Robbie Chancellor, who replaced Ryan O’Keefe at the end of the 2020 season. The Sunbury Kangaroos Football Club,. nicknamed the Kangaroos, is an Australian rules football club, previously known as Sunbury Rovers and situated 40km north west of Melbourne in the town of Sunbury and affiliated with the Essendon District Football League. Originally known as the Sunbury Rovers, the team was formed so the town Sunbury had a team in both divisions of RDFL. Formed in 1987 to compete in the second division of the league. The Riddell District Football Netball League (RDFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball league in Victoria, Australia. The RDFNL covers towns in the Macedon Ranges and an area from Rockbank in the south to Broadford in the north. The league also runs junior competitions from Under 10 to Under 18 age groups. Brief history 1970s This decade saw Hesket club go into recess and the introduction of new clubs Craigieburn, Melton and Melton South. In 1975 the league went two divisional, With eight teams in First Division and six clubs in Second Division.
