Aaron Harding
Aaron Harding (February 20, 1805 – December 24, 1875) was a United States representative from Kentucky and a slaveholder. He was born near Campbellsville, in what is now Green County, where he attended rural schools. He became familiar with the classics, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1833, having commenced his practice in Greensburg, Kentucky. He was also known as Aaron Hardin. Harding was elected prosecuting attorney of Green County in 1833. He was member of the Kentucky House of Representatives in 1840 and was elected as a Unionist to the Thirty-seventh and Thirty-eighth Congresses and as a Democrat to the Thirty-ninth Congress (March 4, 1861 – March 3, 1867). William Clayton Anderson
William Clayton Anderson (December 26, 1826 – December 23, 1861) was a nineteenth-century slave owner, lawyer, and politician. He served as a United States representative from Kentucky. Early life and career Anderson was born in Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky, the son of Simeon H. Anderson and nephew of Albert G. Talbott. He attended private schools and graduated from Centre College, Danville, Kentucky in 1845. He then studied law and was admitted to the bar. He began his practice in Lancaster and in 1847 moved to Danville and continued practicing law. Anderson served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1851 to 1853. He was a presidential elector on the American Party ticket of Millard Fillmore and Donaldson in 1856. An unsuccessful candidate for the Thirty-fifth Congress, Anderson was elected two years later as an Opposition Party candidate to the Thirty-sixth Congress, serving from March 4, 1859 to March 3, 1861. Kentucky ( , ), officially the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is a state in the Southeastern region of the United States and one of the states of the Upper South. It borders Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio to the north; West Virginia and Virginia to the east; Tennessee to the south; and Missouri to the west. Its northern border is defined by the Ohio River. The United States Congress is the legislature of the federal government of the United States. It is bicameral, composed of a lower body, the House of Representatives, and an upper body, the Senate. Georgetown, Kentucky
Georgetown is a home rule-class city in Scott County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 37,086 at the 2020 census. It is the 6th-largest city by population in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It is the seat of its county. It was originally called Lebanon when founded by Rev. Elijah Craig and was renamed in 1790 in honor of President George Washington. It is the home of Georgetown College, a private liberal arts college. Georgetown is part of the Lexington-Fayette, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area.
