Aangila Padam
''English Padam'' () is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language horror comedy film directed by Kumaresh kumar, starring Sanjeev, Meenakshi and Ramki. Synopsis Sanjeev is a villager who comes to Chennai to earn money for his sister's marriage. He stays with his uncle Singamuthu. He comes across Meenakshi, a thief and gradually falls for her. After seeing an advertisement for making easy money by staying in a house for one night, Sanjeev and Singamuthu go to Mosquito Kumar. Kumar takes them to P. Pandu and tells them that they need to stay in the house for one night so that Pandu can sell it, since potential buyers fear the presence of ghost rumours planted by Pandu's rivals. They stay in the house and encounter strange things. They then discover it is the handiwork of Meenakshi who is paid by Pandu's rivals. Ramakrishnan, better known by his stage name Ramki, is an Indian actor best known for his work in Tamil and Telugu films. He made his debut in ''Chinna Poove Mella Pesu'' (1987). He was a lead actor from 1987 to 2004. Pandu (19 February 1947 – 6 May 2021) was an Indian Tamil actor and graphic designer who appeared in many comedy roles in Tamil cinema. He made his acting debut in the film ''Maanavan'' (1970). A Doctor of Philosophy graduate in arts from France, he was also a visual artist who founded Capital Letters, a graphic designing company. He most notably designed the party symbol and logo of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. His brother Idichapuli Selvaraj had also previously appeared in films as a comedian. Singampuli is an Indian actor and director. After making ''Red'' (2002) and ''Maayavi'' (2005), he has made a career appearing in supporting roles in films. Career Singampuli was born and brought up in Theni, Periyakulam and after studying engineering in Bangalore, he arrived in Chennai looking for a career in films.
