Aadu Lüüs
Aadu Lüüs (also Ado Lüüs; 17 November 1878 Vana-Antsla Rural Municipality, Võru County – 12 February 1967 Stockholm) was an Estonian pediatrician, medical scientist. He was the first Estonian pediatrician-scientist. In 1907 he graduated from Tartu University in medicine. He published over 90 scientific publications. His main fields of research were childhood diseases, children and mothers protection in Estonia and abroad, and eugenics. The name traces back to Plato's school of philosophy, founded approximately 385 BC at Akademia, a sanctuary of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and skill, north of Athens, Greece. Võru County
Võru County ( et, Võru maakond or ''Võrumaa''; vro, Võro maakund) is a county in southern Estonia. It is bordered by Valga County and Põlva County and is the only Estonian county bordering two countries - Latvia (Alūksne Municipality and Ape Municipality) in the south and Russian Federation (Pskov Oblast) in the east.
