''A Woman of Today'' (german: Eine Frau von heute) is a 1954 West German drama film directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Luise Ullrich, Curd Jürgens and Carsta Löck.Berghahn p. 177 It was shot at the Bavaria Studios in Munich with location footage at the Brenner Pass and around Florence in Italy. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Franz Bi and Bruno Monden. Paul Verhoeven (German Director)
Paul Verhoeven (; born 18 July 1938) is a Dutch filmmaker. His blending of graphic violence and sexual content with social satire is a trademark of both his Drama film, drama and science fiction films. After receiving attention for the TV series ''Floris (TV series), Floris'' in his native Netherlands, Verhoeven got his film breakthrough with romantic drama ''Turkish Delight (1973 film), Turkish Delight'' (1973), starring frequent collaborator Rutger Hauer. The film was nominated for Academy Award for Best Foreign Film and later received the award for Best Dutch Film of the Century at the Netherlands Film Festival. Robert Peter Freytag (7 April 1916 in Vienna – 8 July 2010 in Munich), known professionally as Robert Freitag, was an Austrian-Swiss stage and screen actor and film director. Life Freitag was the son of the Swiss opera singer Otto Freitag (Otto Freytag). He was trained as an actor at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. During the Nazi era, he went to Switzerland, where he was active as an actor at the Schauspielhaus Zürich (Zürich playhouse).
