It was released on January 8, 2016, on Century Media Records Century Media Records is a heavy metal record label with offices in the United States, Germany and London. In August 2015, Century Media was acquired by Sony Music for US$17 million. Background Century Media was founded by Robert Kampf and Oli .... The album contains the hidden track "Falu" ("Village" in Hungarian), which is the Hungarian version of "Where I'm From". It is Ignite's final album with long-time vocalist Zoltán "Zoli" Téglás, who left the band in 2020. Ignite (band)
Ignite is a melodic hardcore band from Orange County, California. Formed in 1993, their commercial breakthrough album, '' A Place Called Home'', was released in 2000 on TVT Records. Prior to this release, they were well regarded among hardcore fans, thanks in part to constant touring and having visited over 40 countries. Much of the band's music is socially and politically aware. Ignite actively supports, and has given proceeds to, organizations such as Earth First, Doctors Without Borders, Sea Shepherd, and Pacific Wildlife. Former lead singer Zoltán "Zoli" Téglás has taken account of such issues as environmental concerns and vegetarianism—common topics found on ''A Place Called Home''. Melodic hardcore is a broadly defined subgenre of hardcore punk with a strong emphasis on melody in its guitar work. It generally incorporates fast rhythms, melodic and often distorted guitar riffs, and vocal styles tending towards shouting and screaming. ''Our Darkest Days'' is the fourth studio album by American punk rock band Ignite. It was released on May 16, 2006 through Abacus Recordings. Following the release of their third studio album '' A Place Called Home'' (2000), the band left their label, went through line-up changes, and the members focused their time on the side project California United. Despite starting pre-production for a new album in early 2005, they did not start recording until November 2005, and eventually finishing in January 2006. Sessions were held at Maple Sound Studios in Santa Ana, California, and Paramount Studios, Hollywood, California with producer Cameron Webb. The album's melodic hardcore sound evokes the music of 7 Seconds and AFI (specifically their 1999 album '' Black Sails in the Sunset''). Zoltán Téglás
Zoltán Téglás is an American singer. He was the frontman of melodic hardcore band Ignite from 1994 to 2020 and was also the lead vocalist of Pennywise for a short time, appearing on their tenth album '' All or Nothing''. He has collaborated with other bands including The Misfits, Motörhead and Blind Myself. Téglás has another side project called Zoli Band. Career Téglás toured with The Misfits in October–November 2000, filling in on vocals for the Misfits during a number of North American tour dates after Michale Graves left the band. In the Motörhead-song "God Was Never on Your Side" (on the ''Kiss of Death'' album) he added backing vocals. Since 1993 he is the lead singer of the California-based band Ignite, and he plays in another band, the Zoli Band. He replaced Jim Lindberg (who pursued a side project as lead singer for his newly formed band The Black Pacific) for a few concerts in Pennywise, after the former left the band in 2009.
