A Second Chance (2014 Film)
''A Second Chance'' ( da, En chance til) is a 2014 Danish thriller film directed by Susanne Bier. The film stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ulrich Thomsen, Maria Bonnevie, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Lykke May Andersen. It was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. Plot Police detective Andreas and his partner Simon are called to investigate an argument in a junkie couple's badly rundown flat, where they discover a child in a wardrobe lying in its own excrement. The seven-week-old child Sofus is dirty and hungry but after he has been examined by Social Services they realize he is in good health. Susanne Bier
Susanne Bier (; born 15 April 1960) is a Danish filmmaker. She is best known for her feature films ''Brothers'' (2004), '' After the Wedding'' (2006), ''In a Better World'' (2010), and '' Bird Box'' (2018), and the TV miniseries ''The Night Manager'' (2016) on AMC, ''The Undoing'' (2020) on HBO, and '' The First Lady'' (2022) on Showtime. Thomas Bo Larsen (born 27 November 1963) is a Danish film actor, born in Gladsaxe, Denmark. Bodil Jørgensen (born 3 March 1961) is a Danish film actress. She has appeared in 40 films since 1992. She starred in ''The Idiots'', which was entered into the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. On 18 June 2014, Jørgensen was severely injured while shooting for the film ''Far til fires vilde ferie'' on the island of Mandø.
