Cho Pyone ( my, ချိုပြုံး; born on 17 November 1946) is a Burmese film actress and singer. She has won multiple Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards throughout her career. She has had a prolific film and music career. Cho Pyone was born Aye Aye Myint in Rangoon, Burma (now Yangon, Myanmar) on 17 November 1946 to Chan Htun and his wife, Kyi Kyi. Biography May Than Nu was born Than Than Hsint (သန်းသန်းဆင့်) in Mergui, Tenasserim Division, Burma (now Myeik, Myanmar) on 27 January 1961. The Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards are presented annually to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Burmese Film Industry of Myanmar. The awards ceremony has been held annually since 1952. Each winner is presented with a golden statue and in recent years also a cash prize. History The awards were first introduced in 1952, and the ceremony has been held annually since 1952 (apart from 1963, 1986, 1987, and 1988). In the first awards ceremony, only three kinds of awards (Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress) were presented.
