A Korean In Paris
''A Korean in Paris'' is a film directed by Jeon Soo-il. Plot Korean newlyweds are on their honeymoon in Paris. Strolling in the Pigalle area, the young bride sees in a red dress in a store window and she enters the shop. Her husband goes to buy cigarettes while he waits for her. When the man comes back his wife has disappeared. Not speaking a word of French he desperately searches for her. A search that will turn into a free fall into a world ruled by illegality, prostitution, drugs, a universe with its own codes and punishments. Jeon Soo-il
Jeon Soo-il (born September 25, 1959) is a South Korean film director, film producer and screenwriter. After graduating from the Department of Theatre & Film of Kyungsung University in Busan, he studied Film Direction at Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle (E.S.R.A) in France from 1988 to 1992. He completed his master and doctorate degrees in Film Science at the Paris Diderot University in Paris, France. He is currently an associate professor of the Department of Theatre & Film of Kyungsung University and the president of Dongnyuk Film. Cho Jae-hyun
Cho Jae-hyun (born June 30, 1965) is a South Korean film, stage, and TV actor. He is commonly dubbed "director Kim Ki-duk's persona" since Cho has starred as leading and supporting characters in a number of films directed by Kim. Early years and education Cho Jae-hyun was born in Gyeongju on June 30, 1965. He and his family lived in a poor neighborhood on the slopes of a hill until his father became successful with his restaurant business in the Jongno area, Seoul. In a 2002 interview with the film magazine Cine21, Cho said he was a rebellious boy wandering outside the home. He aspired to be a painter, so tried to enter an art high school but failed.
