A Just Costa Rica ( es, Costa Rica Justa; CRJ) is a Costa Rican political party. It nominated engineer Rolando Araya Monge as a presidential candidate for the 2022 Costa Rican general election. History Costa Rica Justa was founded by the deputy Dragos Dolanescu Valenciano, originally president and elected deputy for the Social Christian Republican Party. He resigned from the party when the Executive Committee denounced him before the Public Ministry for alleged irregularities in the handling of funds. Dolanescu announced in social media that he will be meassuing the level of popular support in order to decide whether he will be presidential candidate. After completing the registration process, the presidential candidacy was offered to former minister and two-time previous presidential candidate Rolando Araya, who lost the 2021 National Liberation Party convention, finishing second. Dragos Dolanescu Valenciano
Dragos Dolanescu Valenciano, known as Dragoș Dolănescu, (born November 19, 1975 in Bucharest, Socialist Republic of Romania) is a Costa Rican psychologist and politician. Dolanescu is an independent congressman in the third year of the 2018-2022 legislative period. He gained his seat at the Legislative Assembly running in the Alajuela province race for the Partido Republicano Social Cristiano party (PRSC), which at the time he was also president of the organization. He resigned to PRSC after clashing with senior members of the party, who accused him of fund mismanagement in the 2020 municipal elections in retaliation for his resignation. 2022 Costa Rican General Election
General elections were held in Costa Rica on 6 February 2022, to elect the president, two vice-presidents, and all 57 deputies of the Legislative Assembly. Rolando Araya Monge (born 20 August 1947) is a Costa Rican politician. Social Christian Republican Party
The Social Christian Republican Party is a Costa Rican political party founded in 2014 by former president Rafael Ángel Calderón Fournier and his group of supporters as a splinter from the historical Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC). The party also uses the colors and a similar name of Calderón's father's party, the National Republican Party. The Party was created soon after the Calderonistas left PUSC due to unusually harsh clashes among the Calderonista and Liberal factions inside the party during the general election of 2014.
