Knocked Loose
Knocked Loose is an American metalcore band from Oldham County, Kentucky, formed in 2013 and currently signed to Pure Noise Records. The band released its first studio album, ''Laugh Tracks'', in September 2016 through Pure Noise Records. History Knocked Loose's career in its current form began in 2013, but Garris has stated that he started playing with several of the band's current members in 2011 or 2012. Their first studio material was an EP titled ''Pop Culture'', released in 2014 on Little Heart Records. In 2015, Knocked Loose released a split with Damaged Goods on No Luck Records (and digitally via Little Heart). In the Spring of 2016, Knocked Loose supported Counterparts on their headlining tour. Keith Buckley (born November 19, 1979) is an American singer, best known as the vocalist and lyricist of the now defunct hardcore punk band Every Time I Die and the heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things. He is also a published author. Early life and education Buckley was born in Buffalo, New York. He attended Virginia Tech and then the University at Buffalo before doing music full-time. He is also a former English teacher. Career Every Time I Die In 1998, Buckley established the band Every Time I Die with his brother, Jordan, in Buffalo, New York. He describes Every Time I Die as a "Buffalo Bills tailgate party and a high school kegger". During tours, they enjoy setting their hair on fire and drinking. Groove Metal
Groove metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music that began in the early 1990s. The genre achieved success in the 1990s and continued having success in the 2000s. Inspired by thrash metal and traditional heavy metal, groove metal features raspy singing and screaming, down-tuned guitars, heavy guitar riffs, and syncopated rhythms. Unlike thrash metal, groove metal is usually slower and also uses elements of traditional heavy metal. Sludgecore
Sludge metal (also known as sludge or sludge doom) is an Extreme metal, extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that originated through combining elements of doom metal and hardcore punk. It is typically harsh and abrasive, often featuring shouted vocals, heavily distortion (music), distorted instruments and sharply contrasting tempos. The Melvins from the US state of Washington (state), Washington produced the first sludge metal albums in the mid-late 1980s. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming.
