A Bullet For Sandoval
''A Bullet for Sandoval'' (a.k.a. ''Those Desperate Men Who Smell of Dirt and Death'', a.k.a. ''Desperate Men'') is a 1969 Spaghetti Western film. It is a co-production between Italy (where is known as ''Quei disperati che puzzano di sudore e di morte'') and Spain (where it was released as ''Los Desperados''). The film was generally well received by critics. For years, it was thought that famed Italian horror film director Lucio Fulci directed this western, but that was later disputed by the film's lead star George Hilton (actor), George Hilton. Plot John Warner is a soldier for the Confederate States of America. When he receives a message that his lover is about to deliver a child he becomes a Desertion, deserter. The Man with No Name ( it, Uomo senza nome) is the antihero character portrayed by Clint Eastwood in Sergio Leone's "''Dollars Trilogy''" of Italian Spaghetti Western films: ''A Fistful of Dollars'' (1964), '' For a Few Dollars More'' (1965), and ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' (1966). He is recognizable by his poncho, brown hat, tan cowboy boots, fondness for cigarillos, and the fact that he rarely talks. The "Man with No Name" concept was invented by the American distributor United Artists, looking for a strong angle to sell the films as a trilogy. Eastwood's character does indeed have a name and a different one in each film: "Joe", "Manco" and "Blondie", respectively. Manuel de Blas Muñoz (born 12 April 1941) is a Spanish film, television, and stage actor. Biography Manuel de Blas was born in Badajoz in 1941. He spent his childhood in Córdoba and subsequently moved to Madrid to study political science. While attending college he enrolled in an acting school, making his debut in films in 1961 with a minor role in the film ''Rosa de Lima''. In 1967 on the set of ''Cita en Navarra'' he met American film actress Patty Shepard, whom he married in the same year. They went on to act in several films together and remained married for 46 years, until the death of the actress in January 2013. During his career, he has starred in many films. Andrea Aureli (5 March 1923 – 5 November 2007) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Terni, Aureli graduated from the Liceo classico in his hometown, then he enrolled the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, graduating in 1947. Since the early 1950s he began an intense career as a character actor, being often cast in roles of villains and antagonists. In genre films, he was sometimes credited with the stage name Andrew Ray. He was also active in television films and series. Aureli retired from acting in 1998 and died in Rome on 5 November 2007 at 84 years old. His son Marco is a camera operator and an occasional actor.
