A Boy From Tandale
''A Boy from Tandale'' is the third studio album by Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz - following ''Kamwambie'' (2010) and ''Lala Salama'' (2012). It was released on March 14, 2018, by Universal Music Group. After joining Universal Music Group in 2017, Diamond began working on the songs which would be used on the album. Musically, ''A Boy from Tandale'' is an afro-pop, Bongo Flava album that displays influences of music from West of Africa - especially Nigeria. The title of the album refers to Tandale, in the Kinondoni district of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania, Tandale being Diamond Platnumz's birthplace. The album consists of eighteen tracks, eleven of them already released as singles. Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack (born 2 October 1989), popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist, dancer, philanthropist and a businessman of Ha heritage. He is the founder and CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label, Wasafi Bet and Wasafi Media. Diamond has gained a massive following in East and Central Africa. He became the first Africa-based artist to reach a combined total of one billion views on YouTube. Tiwa Savage (born 5 February 1980) is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and performing artist. Born in Isale Eko, she relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. P-Square is a Nigerian music duo consisting of the twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye.
