Ay (pharaoh)
Ay was the penultimate pharaoh of ancient Egypt's Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, 18th Dynasty. He held the throne of Egypt for a brief four-year period in the late 14th century BC. Prior to his rule, he was a close advisor to two, and perhaps three, other pharaohs of the dynasty. It is theorized that he was the power behind the throne during Tutankhamun's reign. His ''Prenomen (Ancient Egypt), prenomen'' ''Kheperkheperure'' means "Everlasting are the Manifestations of Ra," while his ''nomen (Ancient Egypt), nomen'' ''Ay it-netjer'' reads as "Ay, Father of the God." Records and monuments that can be clearly attributed to Ay are rare, both because his reign was short and because his successor, Horemheb, instigated a campaign of ''damnatio memoriae'' against him and the other pharaohs associated with the unpopular Amarna Period. Volapük
Volapük (; , "Language of the World", or lit. "World Speak") is a constructed language created between 1879 and 1880 by Johann Martin Schleyer, a Catholic priest in Baden, Germany, who believed that God had told him in a dream to create an international language. Notable as the first major constructed international auxiliary language, the grammar comes from European languages and the vocabulary mostly from English (with some German and French). However, the roots are often distorted beyond recognition. Volapük conventions took place in 1884 (Friedrichshafen), 1887 (Munich) and 1889 (Paris). The first two conventions used German, and the last conference used only Volapük. Karma (Tarkan Album)
''Karma'' is Tarkan's fourth studio album, released in 2001. His fifth music project and his fourth original release, this album moved away from pop to worldbeat melodies fused with electronica sounds and became the all time third best selling album in Turkey. The album was recorded in Istanbul, Los Angeles, New York City, Egypt and Europe. Album was published in Europe, North America, Asia, Japan, Russia. By 2001 more than 3.6 million copies of this album was sold worldwide. The tour "Kuzu Kuzu" which began in January 2002 was very successful as well and Tarkan performed in 19 countries and gave 26 concerts. As an introduction in the CD booklet, Tarkan explains the Karma philosophy and introduces the concept of using Ebru art on his album cover.
