AXN Sci Fi
AXN Sci Fi was a European pay television series channel of Sony Pictures Television. It was available in Italy, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, Kazakhstan and Bulgaria on Sky Italia, Boom TV, Bulsatcom, Cyfra Plus, Cyfrowy Polsat, Digi TV, Dolce, iNES, Max TV and N. The channel was launched in Czech Republic and Slovakia in October 2007. On 11 July 2011, Sony announced that AXN Sci Fi and AXN Crime would be replaced by AXN Black and AXN White. On 1 October, AXN Sci Fi was replaced by AXN Black, however Italy edition was unaffected. On 28 February 2017, the channel was discontinued in Italy. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. BeTV (Asia Pacific)
BeTV was a pay television channel, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Asia-Pacific region. Launched on 2 April 2012, it replaced AXN Beyond as a spin-off of AXN Asia and Sony Entertainment Television. Selected programs from AXN Philippines and SET were exclusively available in the Philippine feed of the channel. AXN Beyond HD, renamed BeTV HD on 2 April 2012. The renamed channel would become the first channel that ceases to be carried on Astro B.yond HD and Astro B.yond PVR on 26 August 2013 at midnight. BeTV was finally shut down on 15 October 2014 due to its merger with SET to form Sony Channel. Feeds * Southeast Asian feed: available for most countries in the region. AKTA TV was a Romanian DTH platform. It belonged to Digital Cable Systems, a telecommunication operator which offered satellite, cable television, internet and telephony in over 2,500 locations in Romania.
