AUF Great Danes
The Angeles University Foundation (AUF) Great Danes are the varsity teams of Angeles University Foundation of Angeles City, Philippines. They played as a guest team in the 2009–10 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines). Their men's basketball team won the 2007 National Inter-Collegiate Basketball Championship held in Ibajay, Aklan. Their victory qualified them to the 6th Asian University Basketball Championship at Daet, Camarines Norte. NCAA With the expulsion of Philippine Christian University (PCU) Dolphins from the NCAA due to an anomaly of enrolling several high school student-athletes with forged documents, a vacant membership slot existed. AUF was one of the schools that filed their application for membership to fill up the vacant slot. However, the NCAA Policy Board voted to delay the decision to accept a new member so 2009–10 season was held minus one school. Camarines Norte ( bcl, Amihanan na Camarines; fil, Hilagang Camarines), officially the Province of Camarines Norte, is a Provinces of the Philippines, province in the Philippines located in the Bicol Region in Luzon. Daet (), officially the Municipality of Daet ( bcl, Banwaan kan Daet; tl, Bayan ng Daet), is a 1st class municipality and capital of the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. NCAA Season 85 is the 2009–10 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the Philippines. The host for this year will be San Beda College (SBC). The season began on June 27 at the Araneta Coliseum with United States Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney delivered the keynote speech, followed by a tripleheader of seniors' basketball games. The juniors' basketball tournament tips off at the San Juan Gym with the remaining first round of eliminations games in basketball will be held at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
