AS Roma
' (''Rome Sport Association''), commonly referred to as Roma (), is a professional football club based in Rome, Italy. Founded by a merger in 1927, Roma has participated in the top tier of Italian football for all of its existence, except for the 1951–52 season. Roma has won Serie A three times, in 1941–42, 1982–83 and 2000–01, as well as nine ' titles and two ' titles. In European competitions, Roma won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2021–22, the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1960–61 and was runner-up in the 1983–84 European Cup and the 1990–91 UEFA Cup. ''Società'' (Italian: ''Society'') was an Italian communist cultural magazine published in Italy between 1945 and 1961. History and profile ''Società'' was founded as a quarterly magazine in Florence in 1945. The founders were Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli, Cesare Luporini and Romano Bilenchi. Bandinelli also directed the magazine. In 1948 the magazine became closer to the Italian Communist Party (PCI), but was not published by the party. Aldair Nascimento dos Santos (; born 30 November 1965), known simply as Aldair, is a Brazilian retired association football, footballer who played as a defender (association football), defender, and who was part of the Brazil national football team, Brazil national team that won the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Thomas Berthold
Thomas Berthold (born 12 November 1964) is a former German footballer and manager, who played as a defender. He currently works as a pundit and analyst for several TV stations. Club career Berthold was born in Hanau, Hesse. His first club was TuSpV KeWa Wachenbuchen before he joined the youth ranks of SG Eintracht Frankfurt in 1978. He played 332 games in the Bundesliga, scoring 22 goals. He began his career in 1982 with Eintracht Frankfurt and played for them until 1987. Rudolf "Rudi" Völler (; born 13 April 1960), nicknamed "''Tante Käthe''" ("Aunt Käthe"), is a German former professional football player and manager who serves as the sporting director for Bayer Leverkusen. A forward, Völler won the FIFA World Cup in 1990 as a player. He also scored an equalizing goal to make it 2–2 in the 81st minute of the 1986 FIFA World Cup Final vs Argentina, but it ended up with a 3–2 victory for Argentina. Bruno Conti
Bruno Conti (; born 13 March 1955) is an Italian football manager and former player. He is currently head of A.S. Roma's youth sector. Throughout his playing career, Conti was usually deployed as a winger, and also previously played for Roma, where he spent his entire club career, aside from two season-long loan spells with Genoa in the 1970s. He is considered by many in the sport to be one of the greatest Italian players of all time in his position. Aldo Donati (footballer)
Aldo Donati (29 September 1910 – 3 November 1984) was an Italian footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Bologna, he played in the 1930s for Bologna and Roma. He played 201 matches in Serie A and scored 4 goals. He debuted in Serie A at 19 years of age and played for eight seasons for Bologna winning the scudetto in 1936 and 1937, as well as the Mitropa Cup. Eraldo Monzeglio (; 5 June 1906 – 3 November 1981) was an Italian association football coach and player, who played as a defender, in the position of full-back. Monzeglio had a highly successful career as a footballer, although he also later attracted controversy due to his close relationship with the Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. Guido Masetti
Guido Masetti (; 22 November 1907 – 26 November 1993) was an Italian football goalkeeper and manager. Club career Born in Verona, Masetti played for Hellas Verona, and A.S. Roma from 1929 to 1943, appearing in 339 matches, winning an Italian title in the 1941–42 season. International career Masetti was considered to be one of the strongest goalkeepers in 1930s and 1940s, but for the Italian national team he was merely used as a stand-in for Gianpiero Combi and Aldo Olivieri. Enrique Guaita
Enrique Guaita (; 11 July 1910 – 18 May 1959), also known as Enrico Guaita (), was an Italian Argentine footballer who played for both Argentina and Italy as a forward. He helped win the 1933-35 Central European International Cup & the World Cup in 1934 with Italy. He played most of his footballing career in Argentina with Estudiantes and Racing Club, but also played in Italy with Roma where he was nicknamed ''Il Corsaro Nero''. Attilio Ferraris
Attilio Ferraris (; 26 March 1904 – 8 May 1947) was an Italian footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Club career Ferraris played ten seasons (254 games, two goals) in the Serie A, for A.S. Roma, S.S. Lazio and A.S. Bari. International career With the Italy national team, Ferraris won the bronze medal at the 1928 Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. He was playing in the 1927–30 Central European International Cup winning gold & in the 1931–32 Central European International Cup winning silver. He was also a very important part of the World Cup winning team of 1934, making it to the tournament's All-Star Team for his performances.
