APRA AMCOS consists of Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) and Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS), both copyright management organisations or copyright collectives which jointly represent over 100,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in Australia and New Zealand. The two organisations work together to license public performances and administer performance, communication and reproduction rights on behalf of their members, who are creators of musical works, aiming to ensure fair payments to members and to defend their rights under the '' Australian Copyright Act (1968)''. "Soul Kind of Feeling" was a single released in August 1984 by Australian soul music group Dynamic Hepnotics from their album '' Take You Higher''. It was their highest charting hit, which appeared on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart in October 1984 and peaked at No. 5. In 1986, "Soul Kind of Feeling" won the APRA Music Award for 'Most Performed Australasian Popular Work'. "Soul Kind of Feeling" was written by lead singer, Robert Susz. The 12-inch single version, "Soul Kind of Feeling (12" Hepno Mix)" was remixed and extended from the earlier 7-inch single. Both were issued on Mushroom Records' White Label Records. George Dreyfus AM (born 22 July 1928) is an Australian contemporary classical, film and television composer. Early life and orchestral career Dreyfus was born to a Jewish family in Elberfeld, Wuppertal, Germany. He was the younger of two sons born to Alfred Dreyfus and Hilde Ransenberg. The Dynamic Hepnotics were an Australian soul, blues and funk band which formed in 1979 and disbanded in 1986. Mainstay, lead vocalist and front man, "Continental" Robert Susz formed the group in Sydney. They had chart success on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart with a top 5 single, " Soul Kind of Feeling" in 1984. It was followed by "Gotta Be Wrong (Way to Love)" which reached the top 20 in 1985. Their album, ''Take You Higher'', reached the top 20 on the related Albums Chart in June. Graeme Connors (born 29 April 1956) is an Australian country music singer, songwriter, and performer. Ivor Arthur Davies, AM (born 22 May 1955), known professionally as Iva Davies, is an Australian singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. Davies' music career spans more than 40 years. He came to prominence in the early 1980s as co-founder and lead singer of rock band Icehouse, becoming one of Australia's top rock stars of that decade.
