APC United Late Model Series
The APC United Late Model Series is a late model Stock car racing, stock car racing series competing at Oval track racing, short track ovals in Ontario, Canada. Background The series was founded in 2015 with the purpose of revitalizing late model stock car racing at paved short oval tracks in Southern Ontario. The touring series consists of seven to ten races per year running from May until September and has competed at six different Ontario race tracks. The first race took place on May 23, 2015 at Sunset Speedway (Ontario), Sunset Speedway and was won by Dwayne Baker. The series has a title sponsorship with APC Auto Parts Centres, a Canadian auto parts supplier and retail chain. A late model car is a car which has been recently designed or manufactured, often the latest model. Racing Late model race cars are the highest class of local stock car racing vehicles at many race tracks in the United States and Canada. Jukasa Motor Speedway
The Jukasa Motor Speedway (formerly known as Cayuga Speedway and the Cayuga 2000 Speedway) was an auto racing track located near Cayuga in Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada. Famous stock car drivers including Dale Earnhardt, Matt Kenseth, Bobby Allison, Benny Parsons, Don Biederman and Dick Trickle have participated in racing events at Jukasa Motor Speedway on a professional level. History Origins Cayuga International Speedway opened in 1966 as a 1/2 mile "D"-shaped dirt oval, by an owners group consisting of Frank Mashell, Wayne Conroy, Milton Chesterman, and Jack Greenaigh. Cayuga International Speedway was also increased slightly in size to 5/8 of a mile when it was paved but it was still a "D"-shape, the back stretch maintaining a slight but noticeable curve. The Ontario Stock Car Association of Asphalt Racers, usually shortened to the acronym OSCAAR, is a Canadian stock car racing series featuring three divisions, Open Wheeled Modifieds, Hot Rods and Pro Sprint. It has been running since 1990, with Dave Burbridge winning the inaugural championship. Previously the series included an Outlaw Super Late Models division. NASCAR Pinty's Series
The NASCAR Pinty's Series (french: Série NASCAR Pinty's), commonly abbreviated as NPS, is a national NASCAR racing series in Canada, and is a continuation of the old CASCAR Super Series which was founded in 1981. History In September 2006 NASCAR purchased the CASCAR Super Series, the top Canadian stock-car racing series at the time. Sauble Beach (pop. 2000) is a beach community and unincorporated area in the town of South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce County, in the northern area of southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is on the Bruce Peninsula, along the eastern shore of Lake Huron, on the north edge of the Saugeen First Nation. Sauble Speedway is a 1/4 mile short track motor racing oval, located east of the beach community Sauble Beach, in Hepworth, Ontario, Canada. The track hosts a weekly Saturday night stock car racing program that runs from June to September each year, with additional Sunday night races on long weekends. Cavan Monaghan (known as Cavan-Millbrook-North Monaghan until 2007) is a township in Peterborough County in central-eastern Ontario, Canada, southwest of the city of Peterborough.
