The ANS Group of Companies is a news and broadcasting company in Azerbaijan. It was founded by three young Azeri journalists, brothers Vahid and Seyfulla Mustafayev in 1990. The Company name, ANS, derives from the first letters of ''Azerbaijan News Service''. ANS was the first privately owned company in the former Soviet Union. ANS Radio or ANS ChM (pronounced ) is a private news and music radio station located in Baku, Azerbaijan, which broadcasts on the 102 frequency. The station also streams content over the Internet for free. ANS ChM was one of the first private and independent FM radio broadcasting service in the Caucasus and Central Asia regions when it was established in May 1994, and the station itself claims to be the first.
