ANS ChM
ANS Radio or ANS ChM (pronounced ) is a private news and music radio station located in Baku, Azerbaijan, which broadcasts on the 102 frequency. The station also streams content over the Internet for free. ANS ChM was one of the first private and independent FM radio broadcasting service in the Caucasus and Central Asia regions when it was established in May 1994, and the station itself claims to be the first. The station currently broadcasts a mix of music, entertainment, and news. ANS ChM is a component part of the Azerbaijan's largest independent TV and radio broadcaster ANS. The station was named after journalist and national hero of Azerbaijan Chingiz Mustafayev, who was killed in Nagorno-Karabakh war while filming for ANS, as reflected by the "ChM" in its title. ANS TV (also known as ''ANS Independent Broadcasting Media Company'') was a news television channel in Azerbaijan, which was owned by ANS Group of Companies from its foundation on 26 November 1991 until its closure on 18 July 2016. Its name, ANS, stands for Azerbaijani News Service. History ANS was the first privately owned independent television company in the former Soviet Union. Vahid Fuad oglu Mustafayev ( az, Vahid Fuad oğlu Mustafayev, Ваһид Фуад оғлу Мустафајев, born 4 September 1968) is a well-known Azerbaijani journalist and filmmaker. He is a president of ANS Group of Companies and was a co-founder and President of ANS Independent Broadcast Company in Azerbaijan before it was closed in 2016. Starting his career in the early 1990s, Mustafayev quickly made his way up due to his business skills. Chingiz Mustafayev (journalist)
Chingiz Mustafayev ( az, Çingiz Fuad oğlu Mustafayev; August 29, 1960 – June 15, 1992) was an independent Azerbaijani journalist, posthumously bestowed the state order National Hero of Azerbaijan. Mustafayev, with the medical degree and no formal background in journalism save for a year of on the job training, created a video record of the early stages of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, most of the documentary had to be shot from the frontline which ultimately was the cause of his abrupt death due to mortar wounds. The National Hero of Azerbaijan ( az, Azərbaycan milli qəhrəmanı) is the highest Hero (title), national title in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
