ANAPROF Apertura 2007
The ANAPROF Apertura 2007 season (''officially "Torneo Apertura 2007"'') started on February 24, 2007. On May 27, 2007 the Apertura 2007 finalized with Tauro F.C. crowned seven time ANAPROF champion after beating San Francisco F.C. 2-0. Therefore, Tauro F.C. will participate in the Copa Interclubes UNCAF 2007. Changes for 2007 Apertura *The Grand Championship format was abandoned, therefore there will be two champions from now on: Apertura and Clausura. *Sporting '89 returned to their former name: Sporting San Miguelito. Atlético Veragüense
Atlético Veragüense is a Panamanian football team playing in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol. It is based in Santiago de Veraguas in Veraguas province. Its home stadium is Estadio Aristocles Castillo. The team was previously known as ''La Primavera''. History In 2002, La Primavera beat Expreso Bocas (from the Bocas del Toro Province) 2–1 to earn promotion to the Liga Panameña de Fútbol for the first time. In 2003, the team was renamed Atlético Veragüense. Under their new name, they lasted in the top flight until Clausura 2011, when they were relegated. San Miguelito, Panamá
San Miguelito is a city and district (''distrito'') of Panamá Province in Panama. The population according to the 2000 census was 293,745; the latest official estimate (for 2019) is 375,409.Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo, Panama. The district covers an area of 50.1 km². The Estadio Olímpico Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez, named after the Panamanian football star Rommel Fernández (1966–1993), is a multi-purpose stadium in Panama City. It is used for different sports, but mainly football (soccer) games. It was inaugurated February 6, 1970, and was designed to accommodate the XI Central American and Caribbean Games in 1970. Plaza Amador
Plaza Amador is a Panamanian football club based in Panama City, that currently plays in Liga Panameña de Fútbol. It is the oldest team in Panama. History C.D Plaza Amador was founded in 1955 by Panamanian sports legend León Cocoliso Tejada (1927–1982). Under Tejada's leadership, the club relied heavily on developing and training players (rather than high-profile signings). After Tejada's's death, new directors Andrés Villa, Daniel Vàsquez and Enrique Cajar led the club back to the highest level of Panamanian football. Club Deportivo Universitario (formerly Chorrillo F.C.) is a Panamanian football team playing in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol, the highest level of football in Panama. It is based in Penonomé, Coclé Province, and is the first panamanian team to play on a privately owned stadium facility. History Chorrillo FC was founded in 1974 to prevent youngsters from becoming involved in criminal activities. They won promotion to the top fight for the first time in 2001 by beating Pan de Azúcar 2–1 in a promotion playoff. This was their second serious attempt at promotion, the first ending in a loss on penalties to Municipal de Colón. The club won its first title in Apertura 2011, beating Plaza Amador 4–1.
