AJ Brimson
Alexander "AJ" Brimson (born 9 September 1998) is an Australian rugby league footballer who plays as a and for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League (NRL). He has played for Queensland in the State of Origin series and Australia 9s at international level. He made his debut in the NRL in 2018. Background Brimson was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and attended high school on the Gold Coast at famous Rugby League school Keebra Park State High before signing with the Gold Coast Titans. Garth Brennan (born 18 February 1972) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who was the head coach of the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL. He previously held coaching positions at the Newcastle Knights and the Penrith Panthers. Playing career Born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, Brennan played his junior rugby league for the Western Suburbs Rosellas. In the 1990s, he played for the Rosellas and Waratah-Mayfield in the Newcastle Rugby League, primarily at . The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. It featured nineteen matches across three weekends, including the 2022 All Stars match, which was won by the Māori All Stars 16 – 10, and the annual Charity Shield match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons, which the Dragons won 16–10. The 2019 Rugby League World Cup 9s was the first staging of the Rugby League World Cup 9s tournament and took place on 18 and 19 October 2019 at Sydney's Bankwest Stadium.
