AJK Jaguars
The AJK Jaguars ( ur, ) was a Pakistani men's professional Twenty20 cricket team that competed in the Haier T20 League and based in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan. The Jaguars played at the Mirpur Cricket Stadium and was owned by the AJK Regional Cricket Association. History The AJK Jaguars were formed in 2014–15 season to represent the region Azad Kashmir in the national tournament. The 2014-15 tournament was a terrible tournament for them as they lost all four matches in their group coming last and therefore got eliminated from the tournament. The 2015-16 tournament didn’t go well either as they only won one match out of the three matches they played. They had the same number of points as Quetta Bears but had a worse net run rate so they came third and got eliminated once more. This would also be their last season. Mirpur Cricket Stadium
The Quaid-e-Azam Stadium ( ur, قائدِ اعظم سٹیڈیم; also known as Mirpur Cricket Stadium) is a cricket stadium in sector F/2 Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is the home of Azad Jammu & Kashmir cricket team. The stadium has a seating capacity of 16,000, making it the largest stadium in Azad Kashmir. On 11 July 2008, the Azad Jammu & Kashmir government handed over the Quaid-e-Azam Cricket Stadium to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for holding national and international cricket matches. The PCB announced it will be installing an electrical scoreboard, floodlights and all other required facilities for holding international and national one-day matches. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Net run rate (NRR) is a statistical method used in analysing teamwork and/or performance in cricket. It is the most commonly used method of ranking teams with equal points in limited overs league competitions, similar to goal difference in football. The NRR in a single game is the average runs per over that team scores, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them. The NRR in a tournament is the average runs per over that a team scores across the whole tournament, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them across the whole tournament. This is the same as the weighted average of the run rates scored in each match (weighted by the lengths of the innings batted compared to the other innings batted), minus the weighted average of the run rates conceded in each match (weighted by the lengths of the innings bowled compared to the other innings bowled). Haier T20 Cup
The National T20 Cup is a men's professional domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Pakistan. Established in 2005, it is one of the world's oldest Twenty20 cricket leagues. It was the principal T20 competition in the country until 2016, when the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise tournament was introduced. Since 2019–20, the National T20 Cup has been contested by six regional teams, having previously been contested mainly by teams representing the various city, district and area cricket associations.
