North Melbourne is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Melbourne local government area. North Melbourne recorded a population of 14,953 at the 2021 census. ''Down to Earth'' is the debut studio album by Australian electronic duo Flight Facilities, released on 24 October 2014 by Future Classic. The album debuted and peaked at number 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart in November 2014. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2014, the album was nominated for Album of the Year, Best Dance Release and Best Cover Art. At the J Awards of 2014, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. Of the group's six singles released prior to the album, three were omitted from the album—"Foreign Language", "With You" and "I Didn't Believe". Marlon Williams (born 31 December 1990) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor based in Melbourne, Australia. Primarily known as a solo artist, he works and tours with his backing band The Yarra Benders and first came to attention as front-man of The Unfaithful Ways and for his collaborative work with musician Delaney Davidson. Early life and family Williams was born in Christchurch to David Williams, a librarian and musician, and Jenny Rendall, a visual artist, and raised in the nearby port town of Lyttelton, New Zealand, Lyttelton. He is of Ngāi Tahu and Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, Ngāi Tai descent. The Gospel Album
''The Gospel Album'' is the third studio album from Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. It is performed in a mixture of both Yolngu and English. The album was announced in May and is described as 'a uniquely Indigenous approach to gospel songs with an expanded sound that combines new hymns, and reimagined gospel songs' The album was released on 31 July 2015 and reached number three on the ARIA charts in August 2015. The album is a dedication to Gurrumul's mother and aunts, who brought him up with songs and lullabies from the church at Elcho Island. As a small boy Gurrumul was not only influenced by the traditional music of his clan but by the gospel music he heard at the local Methodist church. Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu
Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu (22 January 1971 – 25 July 2017), commonly known as Gurrumul and also referred to since his death as Dr G. Yunupingu, was an Aboriginal Australian musician of the Yolŋu peoples. A multi-instrumentalist, he played drums, keyboards, guitar (a right-hand-strung guitar played left-handed) and didgeridoo, but it was the clarity of his singing voice that attracted rave reviews. He sang stories of his land both in Yolŋu languages such as Gaalpu, Gumatj or Djambarrpuynu, a dialect related to Gumatj, and in English. Although his solo career brought him wider acclaim, he was also formerly a member of Yothu Yindi and later of Saltwater Band. Gabriel Strum, known professionally as Japanese Wallpaper, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter and producer. He released his debut single "Breathe In" featuring Wafia on 10 October 2013. The song featured in Zach Braff's film ''Wish I Was Here''. Client Liaison are an Australian indie pop duo made up of vocalist Monte Morgan, and keyboardist and producer Harvey Miller. Adam Briggs (born 28 August 1986), who performs as Briggs and self-describes as Senator Briggs (although not a member of the Australian Senate), is an Indigenous Australian rapper, record label owner, comedy writer, actor, and author. Briggs became well known as a "solo rapper", signing with Golden Era Records in 2009, before co-founding the hip hop duo A.B. Original in 2016.
