AFL Sydney is an Australian rules football League, based in Metropolitan area, metropolitan Sydney, Australia. The AFL Sydney competition comprises 126 teams from 22 clubs which play across seven senior men's divisions, five women's divisions, a Master's Division and two under 19 competitions in season 2022. History The Sydney AFL began as the NSW Australian Football Association in 1903. In 1980 it became known as the "Sydney Football League". The East Coast Eagles is an Australian rules football club competing in the Sydney AFL competition based out of the Sydney suburb of Rouse Hill, New South Wales. Previously known as the Baulkham Hills Falcons (1976–1999) and Sydney Hills Eagles (2012–2014) and wearing maroon and gold, the team wears the West Coast Eagles uniforms of blue and Gold. Patrick Michael Rafter (born 28 December 1972) is an Australian former world No. 1 tennis player. He reached the top Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles ranking on 26 July 1999. His career highlights include consecutive US Open titles in 1997 and 1998, consecutive runner-up appearances at Wimbledon in 2000 and 2001, winning the 1999 Australian Open men's doubles tournament alongside Jonas Björkman, and winning two singles and two doubles ATP Masters titles. Pennant Hills Demons is an Australian rules football club competing in the Sydney AFL Premier League and based out of the Sydney suburb of Pennant Hills. Their home ground moved from Ern Holmes Oval in April 2011 to Mike Kenny Oval History The club was formed in 1971. Sydney University Australian National Football Club (SUANFC) was founded in 1865 and is the oldest Australian rules football club in New South Wales. This claim is based on the club being a spin-off from Sydney University Football Club, Australia's oldest rugby union club, which experimented with Australian rules in its early years. SUANFC did not play its first official game until 1887. Blacktown International Sportspark (BISP) (formally known as Blacktown Olympic Park) is a multi-sports venue located in Rooty Hill, a suburb in Sydney, Australia. North Dalton Park
North Dalton Park is located on Pioneer Rd, Towradgi, in the northern suburbs of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. The ground has a grandstand on the western side, where 430 plastic bucket seats were installed over the concrete steps in early 2017. The remainder of the ground is surrounded by a small hill which gives the ground an overall capacity of around 5,430. The LED scoreboard is at the northern end of the ground. From the eastern hill, the ground has views of the mountain backdrop. The ground was re-surfaced in 2007, and broadcast quality floodlights were installed. Bruce Purser Reserve
Bruce Purser Reserve is a sports facility in Kellyville, an outer suburb of Sydney, Australia. It was constructed in 2008 on the site of a former rubbish tip, at the corner of Commercial Road and Withers Road. Its main feature is a grassed oval constructed to competition standards for Australian football and cricket. This is supplemented by practice pitches for cricket, an amenities building with changing rooms and a canteen, plus picnic areas and car parking. The ground is floodlit, enabling the playing of night matches. The first major event at the Reserve was an Australian Football League pre-season practice match between the Sydney Swans and the Western Bulldogs on 14 March 2009.
