AFF Women's Championship
The AFF Women's Championship is the competition in women's football organised by the ASEAN Football Federation, contested by the national teams of nations in Southeast Asia and Australia. The official tournament started in 2004, hosted by Vietnam and won by Myanmar. Results A 2017 edition was planned in Thailand but was later cancelled by the ASEAN Football Federation in February 2017 citing the big amount of major women's football tournament already scheduled in Asia for the year. The 2020 edition to be held in the Philippines was also postponed to 2021, and later rescheduled in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ASEAN Football Federation
The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) is an organisation within the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and is an international governing body of association football in Southeast Asia. It consists of the federations of Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Despite using "ASEAN" in its name, the AFF is not affiliated with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. 2018 AFF Women's Championship
The 2018 AFF Women's Championship was the tenth edition of the AFF Women's Championship, an international women's football tournament organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The tournament was hosted by Indonesia from 30 June to 13 July 2018. Thailand won their third title in a row, and their fourth title in total, by beating Australia U20 3–2 in the final. Alen Stajcic
Alen Stajcic (born 2 November 1973) is a former Australian soccer player and is the head coach of the Philippines women's national football team. While as a footballer he was a NSW Premier League player and an Australian Youth Representative. Since turning his hand to coaching he had become the head coach of the NSWIS women's soccer team, head coach of the Hills Sports High School Football Program and the head coach of the Australia women's national under-20 soccer team. He was appointed coach for Sydney FC in the first season of the Australian W-League. From 2014 to 2019, he was the head coach of the Matildas. Mai Đức Chung (born June 21, 1949) is a former Vietnamese football player and coach, currently the head coach of the Vietnam women's national football team. Playing career Mai Duc Chung is a versatile player who can play in many positions. His forte position is midfielder or striker, but when needed, he can also play in the position of defender. During his peak, he was nicknamed "Chung athletics" due to his ability to run tirelessly. Spencer Justin Prior (born 22 April 1971) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. He is the manager of Papua New Guinea women's national football team. As a player, he was a central defender who notably played in the Premier League for Norwich City, Leicester City, Derby County and Manchester City.
